Argentina holds a presence at The Meetings Show

After the last ICCA ranking, in which our country consolidated its position in the segment, domestic supply INPROTUR presented in London.

The Ministry of Tourism of the Nation, through the National Institute of Tourism (INPROTUR), participated in the exhibition The Meetings Show 2018 in the city of London, the UK capital during the 27 and 28 June this year.

The Meetings Show is the premier event for the meetings and events industry input and output in the UK. Since its launch in 2012, the event has become a must for players in the segment of the UK and Europe fair.

For Argentina, the meeting was very important, especially to enhance its offerings in Europe. In addition, the national delegation attended the meeting in London after the latest rankings of the International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA) will position the country in second place as a destination event organizer throughout Latin America. Similarly, the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires finished first in America for the ninth consecutive year.

Argentina ‘s delegation, which had the support and assistance of the Embassy of Argentina in the UK, was able to hold a lot of meetings with more than 1,800 buyers of events, which gathered in the capital British. There, he also reported on progress in connectivity – this year, among other innovations, Norwegian Airlines began flying from London to Buenos Aires and from October it will do daily – and the benefits granted by the VAT refund for accommodation to tourists international.

INPROTUR attended the event along with Aerolineas Argentinas, the Ente Turismo of the City of Buenos Aires, the Ente Mendoza Tourism and Convention Bureau Iguazu, plus travel agencies and hotels in Argentina. It is important to note that our country has prepared 48 international destinations to rally events and over 30 Convention & Visitors Bureaux.
