Kenyan ambassador to India H.E. Florence Imisa Weche recently launched the campaign of #KenyaKalling in New Delhi.

Kenya Kalling is a campaign by Kenya Tourism Board to incentivise the Indian Travel Trade in the India Market. ‘Kenya Kalling’ is a special incentive program in conjunction with the Kenya Airways. Details on Kenya Kalling can be accessed through two separate websites, http://www.magicalkenya.com/kenyakalling / (for travellers) and www.kenyakalling.com (for the Indian travel trade). These two websites are of great importance as they provide a wealth of information on exciting deals. Agencies can also register to participate and win exclusive prizes and incentives.

Kenya Airways has launched a very attractive, all inclusive airfare of INR 25,538 for a return trip from Mumbai to Nairobi which can be booked on their website www.kenya-airways.com.

Hildah Ogada, Assistant Regional Marketing Manager, Kenya Tourism Board, said, “India is now the third largest tourist source market for Kenya. We have seen a growth of over 30% during January to July, over the same time last year. India has grown as a source market and has tremendous potential to grow further; we are now targeting 100,000 visitors from India by 2018. Kenya Tourism Board has been undertaking several consumers as well as trade initiatives to further increase arrival from India. Recently, we took Indian film makers to India with a vision to promote tourism aspiration among Indians for Magical Kenya. Kenya has been well established as a leading safari destination, now we want to promote its splendid white sand beaches, water sports, golf and other unique natural treasures to new-age Indian travellers. India is an important market for us, we are launching this “Kenya Kalling” campaign and plan to invest more through other initiatives like association with Indian Cricket, celebrities and other consumer brands. We shall continue to invest more in the future as we aim to make India our number one source market for Kenya”.
