Q. How do you feel about Travel Boutique Online being honoured with the ‘Most Outstanding Online Travel Company’ award at the Travel & Hospitality Awards 2016 held recently?

As a co-founder of Travel Boutique Online, I feel proud and privileged that the travel fraternity and the market have recognized us as one of the leading B2B online travel companies, and applauded our achievements. I am very happy and grateful to TnH for recognizing us as the Most Outstanding Online Travel Company. It has taken almost a decade to build what TBO is today. Born out of India, TBO Group today is a truly Indian home-grown company having presence in more than 75 countries.

Q. What has been the key to TBO’s success?

I will attribute our outstanding success and growth to the visionary and dynamic leadership of our company who recognized the opportunity and future for a company like us and led the team to continuous success. I will also credit our colleagues across India as well as abroad for making TBO what it is today. I am also grateful to my all suppliers, airlines and hotels who have been supporting us right from our inception, and their support has played a key role in what we are today. I am also proud of our tech team and my special thanks to my co-founder for providing one of the finest technologies available today in online travel space that empowered us to serve the market in the best way.

Q. What do your clients and partners value the most about TBO?

TBO as a group stands for high standards of ethics, integrity and commitments. These values strongly embedded in our work culture make us favorite among our partners and clients. We will continue to follow and promote these values and ethics so that we can become one of the most reputed and respected travel brands in the world. I strongly believe that nothing can be achieved without the support and commitment of our people, and they can give their best only when they are happy, so their happiness has always been our top priority.

Q. How is TBO empowering travel agents?

Today, technology is very dynamic. It is changing and evolving every day, therefore to keep pace with the fast changing technology we at the TBO strongly believe that we need to evolve, innovate and upgrade our system everyday to remain way ahead of the curve. We empower our agents by innovating and upgrading our technology and incorporating new features in our system to enable them to enhance their services to their end customers and compete successfully with large OTAs.

Q. Where do you see TBO in the next five years?

Our long-term vision is to become the largest B2B player in the online hotel distribution space. At present, we are active in 75 plus countries and we are confident that TBO group will be serving travel partners in more 150 courtiers in the next three years.

Q. Is there any advice you would give to travel agents?

My simple advice to them is that they should keep evolving as per the dynamics of the market. Be open to new ideas, adopt new technology and create a niche to survive and grow.

Q. What is your USP as a B2B online travel player?

Our USP is that we are the only B2B travel company in India with a unique product mix of selling air, hotels, FX, insurance and packages to the travel partners. TBO currently powers more than 700 travel websites through its XML/API solutions.
