Press visited Colombia Argentina Snow

Journalists met Bariloche and Esquel, where he also explored the Los Alerces National Park.

The Ministry of Tourism of the Nation, through the National Institute of Tourism (INPROTUR), accompanied by three journalists from the Republic of Colombia on its way through the cities of San Carlos de Bariloche, Black River province, and Esquel, Chubut province, from 21 to 28 August 2017.

The main reason for the press trip had to do with promoting explicitly snow destinations of Argentina in the Colombian market. For this reason, journalists Matías Simon Granja (El Tiempo), Maria Alejandra Brown Carmona (El Espectador) and Sandra Martinez Leon (Diners magazine) visited the Cerro Catedral in Bariloche, and La Hoya in Esquel.

The stay included visits to emblematic Bariloche Civic Center, Circuito Chico, the Llao Llao hotel, the Ice Bar and a picnic in La Fragua stay. The main activity was held at the Cerro Catedral, the largest ski centers in our country, where reporters were internalized about the sport, snowboarding and multiple options offered there. The accommodation was in the Casco Art Hotel, one of the most prestigious in the city rionegrina.

Subsequently, the journey moved to the city of Esquel. In this urban center, besides living snow in La Hoya – this winter center boasts a type of high quality snow due to its geographical location – the press team explored the Los Alerces National Park, declared this year ‘s Natural Heritage Site by UNESCO. The route was completed with a Welsh tea in Trevelin city – like Gaiman, the influence of immigrants from Wales is very present here – a visit to the Laguna La Zeta and the historic train station La Trochita. The Coirón and berries served excellently accommodation.

He said press trip would not have been possible without the collaboration of the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sport of the province of Rio Black, the Ministry of Tourism of the province of Chubut, the Joint Authority for Tourism Promotion (EMPROTUR), the Delegation of Esquel of the Regional Tourism Ministry of Tourism of Chubut and the Presidency of the Argentina Chamber of Tourism (CAT).
