New Delhi’s Favourite Hotel is Back

The Oberoi Group has announced the highly anticipated re-opening of The Oberoi, New Delhi after comprehensive renovation which commenced shortly after the hotel celebrated its Golden Anniversary in 2016. The hotel was expected to take two years but was completed three months ahead of schedule. The Oberoi, New Delhi’s multi-million dollar transformation was directed by the internationally renowned designer Adam D. Tihany who took Edward Lutyens’ modernist vision as his inspiration.

For over fifty years, The Oberoi, New Delhi has established itself as a destination for the world’s most discerning guests; from presidents to global CEOs and celebrities. Renovations have been painstaking, with attention being paid to the finest details, so that guests have the sensation of ‘coming home’ yet of walking into an entirely new hotel.

The 220 rooms, including 34 suites, are more spacious and luxurious with abundant natural light. What remains unchanged though is the hotel’s enviable location. Striking views of Humayun’s Tomb, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the Delhi Golf Course, India’s oldest golf course, can be enjoyed from the hotel. The Oberoi, New Delhi has partnered with two internationally acclaimed chefs. At Omya, the new authentic Indian restaurant with an international flair, diners can enjoy a menu created by acclaimed Chef Alfred Prasad, who held a Michelin star for thirteen years. Chef Andrew Wong of the famed “A. Wong” Michelin star restaurant, has designed the menu and is the Mentor Chef of the rooftop Chinese restaurant, Baoshuan.

The new rooftop bar, Cirrus9, offers specially curated beverages and panoramic views. threesixty is back with the same fashionable edge that made it the most successful restaurant in New Delhi.
