Taiwan, the Gorgeous Backdrop to the Telly Calendar 2016 Shoot…

Taiwan Tourism Board; in association with Marinating Films, Balaji Telefilms and Sbuys shot a ‘Telly Calendar for Taiwan, 2016’. The shoot lasted for a week and was spread over diverse locations in Taiwan such as Taipei, E-Da World, Sun Moon Lake and Taroko Gorge. The calendar is in a table format with 26 images of the television celebrities and useful information about Taiwan that every traveler will want and need!

The calendar was promoted with the pre-shoot and post-shoot party at Villa 69. The party got a rocking start as about 100 plus television and film celebrities walked in to dance the night away. The MC thanked Taiwan Tourism as a sponsor for the Telly Calendar and called upon Director, Taiwan Tourism Bureau, Singapore office, Arthur Hsieh on stage. Hsieh thanked all the celebs and assured TTB support for future similar events in Taiwan. He signed off by commenting, “Taiwan Zan” which means, ‘Taiwan is an excellent destination’ and all the celebs chimed in with him echoing the same sentiment! Also present at the evening was Ambassador Chung-Kwang Tien of the Taiwan Economic and Cultural Centre who graced the occasion with his warmth and friendly presence and enjoyed interacting with the guests and stars.

The entrance to Villa 69 was decorated beautifully and was flanked by large posters of the images that were shot in Taiwan. The images featured television stars Sara Khan, Sukirti Kandpal, Srishty Rode, Rubina Dilaik, Aditi Gupta, Pooja Gor, Aditi Gupta, Anita Hassanandani, Vrushika Mehta, Sayantani Ghosh, Nia Sharma, Surbhi Jyoti, Kanchi Singh, Tina Datta, Barka Bisht, Vishal Singh and Raj Singh Arora.

All the celebrities who had travelled to Taiwan shared their experiences on stage on along with the fun they had, the delicious food they enjoyed and the sheer history and culture of the country. The stars had a gala time in while Taiwan and shared their wonderful experiences; there was actor Sayantani Ghosh who commented, “I am glad that I visited a place as picturesque and vivid as Taiwan. I surely hope to visit this country again,” she said.

Then the friendly nature and warm hospitality of the Taiwanese found favour with the telly stars. “I enjoyed and treasured the amazing hospitality. People of Taiwan are warm hearted and humble,” said Rubina Dilaik; while Barkha Bisht said, “Taiwan is a vibrant country with a great cultural heritage. the beauty of the country and the warmth of the people draws you to it completely.” I was amazed with the beauty of Taiwan and the warm hospitality extended to us. I absolutely loved the vibe the Yangmingshan national Park offered,” said Srishty Rode.

Pooja Gor rated Taiwan as one of the top countries she has travelled to. “Having visited quite a few countries , I have never experienced such a wonderful vibe ever. Taiwan lends an extremely positive vibe to the tourists visiting,” she said. Anita Hassanandani agreed with her and said, “Taiwan is an immensely beautiful country with lovely locations and lovely weather. A perfect holiday destination.”

Sukriti Kandpal loved the shopping and flea markets of Taiwan; “Taiwan is a very nice blend of old time charm and modernization. I loved the flea markets and the rich culture the country has to offer,” she said. While, Sara Khan said she would love to come back to Taiwan for a longer holiday. I can barely describe how beautiful Taiwan is. I loved it so much that I wish to especially come visit this place for a leisurely holiday,” she said.

Surbhi Jyoti loved the picturesque locations of Taiwan and was glad to have visited this beautiful country. Nia Sharma said, “Taiwan is an extremely vibrant and organized country. The scenic locations and the lovely weather add into the charm of the place.” While Vrushika Mehta said, “Taiwan is full of amazing locations. I particularly loved the Taroko National park and the vivid scenery the location offers.”

All the stars found the shoot in Taiwan to be a pleasant experience. “Taiwan is vibrant with charm. It was an immensely pleasant experience to shoot in natural locations,” said Tina Dutta; and Aditi Gupta commented, “Taiwan felt like home away from home with its awesome weather and a bustling city life in Taipei.”
