<p>With over fourteen years of extensive experience in the hospitality industry, Prosenjit brings with him a deeply evolved understanding of food &amp; beverage operations, restaurant management, guest engagement, and service orchestration across luxury and upscale hospitality environments. His career reflects a progressive ascent through operational and managerial roles, underscored by consistency, adaptability, and an instinctive understanding of evolving guest expectations.</p>
<p>Prior to joining Novotel Ahmedabad, Prosenjit was associated with Novotel Hyderabad Convention Centre and Hyderabad International Convention Centre, where he was instrumental in overseeing large-scale food &amp; beverage operations within one of the region’s most dynamic hospitality ecosystems.</p>
<p>His professional journey within Accor spans nearly a decade, during which he held key leadership positions including Outlets Manager, Restaurant Manager, Assistant Restaurant Manager, and Food &amp; Beverage Team Leader across Bengaluru and Chennai. Throughout these assignments, he played an integral role in streamlining outlet operations, strengthening team performance, and curating dining experiences that balanced operational precision with intuitive service.</p>
<p>Additionally, his tenure as Assistant Food &amp; Beverage Manager with Radisson Blu, Visakhapatnam, further expanded his expertise in high-volume operations, strategic planning, and guest-centric dining concepts.</p>

His expertise spans revenue optimization, forecasting and budgeting, distribution management, market analysis and cross-functional commercial strategy.</p>

<p>He holds a Post-Graduation Program in Revenue Management from Vedatya Institute and a Bachelor of Hotel Management degree from Amity School of Hospitality. He is also certified by IHG Hotels &amp; Resorts in Revenue Management Essential and Advanced Courses.</p>

Domestic tourism, contributing nearly 88% of total expenditure, continues to grow at 10-12% annually, with nearly 60% of new travelers emerging from nonmetro markets.</p>

				<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><span data-olk-copy-source="MessageBody">VFS Global Foundation announced the opening of its first skills training centre in Mumbai, and the sixth in India, reaffirming its commitment to equipping local youth with vocational skills for careers in travel, tourism, and retail.</span></p>
<p><span lang="en-IN">The initiative supports students from underserved communities by strengthening employability and enabling long-term progress for their families. The first batch will include 30 students, who have already been enrolled. The course has been structured by VFS Global Academy, the Foundation’s knowledge partner, to provide students with future-ready training, career guidance and practical skills to help them transition confidently into employment.</span></p>
<p><span lang="en-IN">The new Mumbai centre will offer a one‑month Certificate Programme for Retail Associates. With Mumbai recognised as India’s retail capital, demand for skilled retail professionals is particularly strong. Students will be trained by experienced industry practitioners, ensuring they gain accurate knowledge of the sector and are well‑positioned to secure placements upon completion.</span></p>
<p>This initiative highlights VFS Global Foundation’s commitment to empowering underserved sections of society through skill development. By offering practical, industry-aligned training, the Foundation ensures that young people gain the confidence and capabilities needed to enter the workforce.</p>
<p>The centre was inaugurated by Nirbhik Goel, Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), VFS Global; Dr Gayathri Vasudevan, Founder, Sambhav Foundation; Saugata Roy Chaudhury, Executive Director, Confederation of Indian Industry (CII); along with senior officials from the academy.</p>
<p>Speaking on the occasion,<b> Nirbhik Goel, Chief Human Resources Officer, VFS Global</b> said, “Skill development is central to VFS Global Foundation’s mission. Our new Mumbai centre offers underserved communities practical retail training that leads to employment and long-term family progress. <p><span lang="en-IN">Through this initiative, VFS Global Foundation continues to support youth upskilling while strengthening the talent pipeline for the retail, travel and tourism industry. <p><i>ITA Airways will continue to operate under its own brand, enhancing its Italian identity and upholding its role as the reference carrier for the country</i><b> </b></p>
<p>Rome, 12 May 2026 – ITA Airways welcomes Deutsche Lufthansa AG’s decision to acquire an additional 49% stake in the Company, for a value of €325 million, thereby increasing its shareholding to 90% of ITA Airways.</p>
<p>The Italian Ministry of Economy and Finance will retain the remaining 10% of the share capital.</p>
<p>Completion of the transaction is expected in the first quarter of 2027, subject to approval by the relevant authorities, including the European Commission and the U.S. Department of Justice.</p>
<p>This further step represents a significant milestone in ITA Airways’ development path and confirms the value of the industrial project built over recent years. <p data-start="245" data-end="598">The convention, themed “Connecting Legacies – Crafting Futures”, will commemorate TAFI’s four decades of contribution to the Indian travel industry while focusing on emerging opportunities, innovation and the future direction of the sector. The event aims to blend the federation’s rich legacy with a forward-looking vision for growth and collaboration.</p>
<p data-start="600" data-end="722">Jay Kantawala, Chairman of the TAFI Western India Chapter, has been named Convention Chairman for the milestone gathering.</p>
<p data-start="724" data-end="944">The convention’s organising committee includes senior representatives from various TAFI chapters, reflecting the association’s commitment to inclusive leadership and collective progress across the travel trade community.</p>
<p data-start="946" data-end="1216">Over four days, the convention will bring together TAFI members, travel professionals and industry stakeholders for a series of business sessions, networking engagements, knowledge forums and strategic discussions focused on the evolving landscape of travel and tourism.</p>
<p data-start="1218" data-end="1543">The itinerary will also feature immersive cultural experiences and sightseeing activities showcasing the heritage, history and scenic appeal of Rhodes. TAFI said the destination symbolises the deep-rooted cultural connection between India and Greece, two ancient civilisations with enduring historical and philosophical ties.</p>
<p data-start="1545" data-end="1766" data-is-last-node="" data-is-only-node="">According to the association, the convention is intended to create a platform that combines business, collaboration and experiential travel, while further strengthening relationships within the travel industry fraternity.</p>

Ltd</strong>., has won a five-year contract from the Inspector General of Registration (IGR) and Controller of Stamps under the Government of Maharashtra, to launch 60 state-of-the-art Model Sub-Registrar Offices (SROs) across the state in a phased manner to streamline and digitally transform property registration into a fast, transparent, and citizen-centric system.</p>
<p>The consortium will undertake the end‑to‑end setup of Model Sub‑Registrar Offices across Maharashtra, deploying cutting‑edge digital infrastructure and trained service delivery teams to modernise property registration services. The state‑of‑the‑art centres will be designed to deliver faster turnaround times and quick, efficient service, supported by spacious, modern, and fully air‑conditioned facilities. Each centre will feature comfortable waiting lounges with Wi‑Fi connectivity, robust digital systems to enable seamless processing, and trained service delivery executives to assist citizens. Additional amenities like refreshments and water dispensers will further enhance convenience, reflecting a strong citizen‑centric approach to public service delivery.</p>
<p><strong>Ravindra Binwade, Inspector General of Registration (IGR), Government of Maharashtra,</strong> said, “The Model Office Concept is a strategic initiative designed to address the persistent bottlenecks in the current property registration system. For years, citizens have grappled with long queues, overcrowded Sub-Registrar Offices (SROs), and a lack of premium ambience. To tackle these challenges, department is trying a solution i.e. “Model Sub-Registrar Office”, the department is establishing 60 dedicated Model Sub-Registrar Offices. These facilities will remain under strict government control and be staffed by departmental officials to ensure regulatory integrity, while specifically aiming to reduce crowded atmosphere found in traditional offices. To elevate the user experience, these model offices will feature enhanced service facilities and upgraded infrastructure, managed in partnership with a specialized agency. This hybrid approach combines government oversight with modern operational efficiency to ensure smooth, high-quality transactions. Importantly, these offices are entirely optional; citizens retain the flexibility to choose between the state-of-the-art environment of a model office or the standard services of a regular SRO, allowing for a more personalized and streamlined registration process. These offices will be governed strictly by the department only.”</p>
