HUMANE HOSPITALITY

Award-winning hotel The Aananda Imperial by Svenska Bilaspur is a luxury address in the heart of the city, defining its hospitality in the truest sense of the Indian tradition, ‘Atithi Devo Bhava’. Being an eco-friendly full-service hotel and the only MICE destination in the region, it has heralded a nouvelle standard in responsible hospitality in the Tourism & Cultural scenario of Chattisgarh. The property is the preferred choice of accommodation for all travellers with guest satisfaction being achieved over and over again. Repeat footfall is the yardstick to the level of satisfaction at the hotel and has successfully developed an undisputed reputation of Comfortable Stays as well as Outstanding Cuisines. Rising to fame over the last decade, it successfully leads the city’s F&B offerings and it’s unique promotion throughout the region and remains the choice numero uno over other star ventures.

LOCKDOWN BRINGS THE COUNTRY & ECONOMY TO A GRINDING HALT BUT THERE IS A RESPITE

After a bout of strategic and mandatory lockdown, when the entire country came to a grinding halt to counter and fight the perils of the Pandemic, the entire logistics, industries and various forms of mobility & mobilization were also cloistered, it is a great relief to know that a number of vaccines are finally on their way… resulting in people daring out of their houses and abodes. Riding this sentiment, domestic tourism in India is going to witness a new high in the coming days. I strongly feel Chattisgarh is also highly slated to see a new dawn in the inbound Travel & Tourism expansion, which otherwise has remained dormant till now. The resurgence has started setting in and green shoots are somewhat visible, with India ranking 5th in the world in terms of revival and Chattisgarh can definitely be a major contributor.

The silver lining is that a certain demand is expected to be impacted on account of the ongoing concerns, India and its states are also expected to benefit from it as demand for MICE from within the country and other Asian countries which were affected the most is expected to be diverted to and within Green zones in India to a greater extent, benefits of which is already visible. Marriages and destination marriages are also going to benefit the comparatively safer zones, whether vaccination or not. The state is definitely one such hot destination, given its rich flora, fauna, historical and cultural relevance.

On the back of marginally positive sentiments for domestic tourism led by social and industrial activities, we expect the momentum to pick up and going forward, the industry should be able to register some positive revenues starting from the third quarter.

CHHATTISGARH A SILVER LINING IN DOMESTIC TOURISM

The Sunsets are beautiful in Chattisgarh, birds fly past and return to the nest, the din and bustle gradually fade out and one can hear the sound of silence gently fluttering around, creating a cacophony in oblivion. Amidst all these blissful things, stands out the culturally rich and beautiful monuments, scenic dams, forests and temples which are witness to history, modern scientific developments, culture and the rich flora and fauna of this beautiful but yet to be explored state.

India is a country with diverse religious sentiments which have led to considerable emotional travel, therefore the country has an advantage in domestic tourism. Chattisgarh is one of the Indian states having ultimate pilgrimage resources.

The emerging fair trend is of solo tourism, and people travelling in small groups of families and close friends for religious and spiritual tourism. Post-Covid, there is a decent scope for smart business and revenge leisure travel and the  Chattisgarh is definitely going to lead and yield from being a dormant offbeat destination till now to being a vibrant one as part of the Dekho Apna Desh campaign by the Govt of India. Time is ripe to expose and explore this silver lining. Let the Sun shines brightly on Chattisgarh and it’s Tourism and Hospitality sector.
