Central Railway to run 60 more special trains during Ganpati Festival

The Central Railway will run 60 more special trains to clear the extra rush of passengers during Ganpati Festival. It was directed by Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu in addition to 142 specials already announced. The railways will run Pune–Sawantwadi Road Weekly specials, Panvel–Sawantwadi Road weekly specials, Lokmanya Tilak Terminus–Karmali weekly specials and Mumbai–Chiplun Tri-weekly specials. The booking opening date for these trains have not been decided yet.

The festival will begin on August 25 and ends on September 5.

Here are the details of 60 special trains:

 

Pune–Sawantwadi Road Weekly specials

Train number 01437 will leave Pune at 4:35 PM on every Friday from August 18 to September 8 (four trips) and arrive Sawantwadi Road at 4:20 AM the next day. Train number 01438 will leave Sawantwadi Road at 8 AM on every Monday from August 21 to September 11 (four trips) and arrive Pune at 9.25 PM the same day.

Halts: Lonavala, Panvel, Roha, Mangaon, Veer, Khed, Chiplun, Savarde, Sangameshwar Road, Ratnagiri, Adavali, Rajapur Road, Vaibhavwadi Road, Kankavali, Sindhudurg, Kudal and Zarap.

Panvel–Sawantwadi Road weekly specials

Train number 01189 will leave Panvel at 7:35 PM on every Saturday from August 19 to September 9 (four trips) and arrive Sawantwadi Road at 4:20 AM the next day. Train number 01190 will leave Sawantwadi Road at 8 AM on every Saturday from August 19 to September 9 (four trips) and arrive Panvel at 6:20 PM the same day.

Halts: Roha, Mangaon, Veer, Khed, Chiplun, Savarde, Sangameshwar Road, Ratnagiri, Adavali, Rajapur Road, Vaibhavwadi Road, Kankavali, Sindhudurg, Kudal and Zarap.

Panvel–Sawantwadi Road weekly specials

Train number 01191 will leave Panvel at 7:35 PM on every Sunday from August 20 to September 10 (four trips) and arrive Sawantwadi Road at 4:20 AM the next day. Train number 01192 will leave Sawantwadi Road at 7:10 AM on every Sunday from August 20 to September 10 (four trips) and arrive Panvel at 6:20 PM the same day.

Halts: Roha, Mangaon, Veer, Khed, Chiplun, Savarde, Sangameshwar Road, Ratnagiri, Adavali, Rajapur Road, Vaibhavwadi Road, Kankavali, Sindhudurg, Kudal and Zarap.

Lokmanya Tilak Terminus–Karmali weekly specials

Train number 01043 will leave Lokmanya Tilak Terminus at 1:10 AM on every Friday from August 18 to September 8 (four trips) and arrive Karmali at 11 AM the same day. Train number 01044 will leave Karmali at 1 PM on every Friday from August 18 to September 8 and arrive Lokmanya Tilak Terminus at 12:20 AM the next day.

Halts: Thane, Panvel, Roha, Chiplun, Ratnagiri, Kankavali and Kudal.

Lokmanya Tilak Terminus–Karmali weekly specials

Train number 01045 will leave Lokmanya Tilak Terminus at 01:10 AM on every Monday from August 21 to September 4 (three trips) and arrive Karmali at 11 AM the same day. Train number 01046 will leave Karmali at 1 PM on every Monday from August 21 to September 4 (three trips) and arrive Lokmanya Tilak Terminus at 12:20 AM the next day.

Halts: Thane, Panvel, Roha, Chiplun, Ratnagiri, Kankavali and Kudal.

Mumbai–Chiplun Tri-weekly specials

Train number 01179 will leave Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus at 5 AM on every Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday from August 20 to September 12 and arrive Chiplun at 10:20 AM the same day. Train number 01180 will leave Chiplun at 5:45 PM on every Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday from August 20 to September 12 and arrive Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus at 11:40 PM the same day.

Halts: Dadar, Thane, Panvel, Roha, Kolad, Indapur Road, Mangaon, Goregaon Road, Veer, Sape Wamne, Karanjadi, Vinhere, Diwankhavati, Khed and Anjani.
