DoubleTree by Hilton opens new hotel in London

DoubleTree by Hilton is opening its newest property in London, the 260-room DoubleTree by Hilton London ExCel. Located in the heart of London’s up-and-coming financial hub, the hotel is owned and managed by Shiva Hotels.

“We are excited to welcome this beautiful hotel to the brand’s growing portfolio of more than 25 properties across the U.K.” said Dianna Vaughan, senior vice president and global head, DoubleTree by Hilton. “DoubleTree by Hilton London ExCel offers guests the welcoming comforts and hospitality that travelers can expect from DoubleTree by Hilton, starting with the presentation of a warm, chocolate chip cookie at check-in, a symbol of the ‘little things’ that make a stay with us so memorable.

Featuring 31 deluxe rooms and 35 suites, the hotel offers stunning views of London’s Royal Victoria Dock and is conveniently located near Canary Wharf, London ExCel, The O2, London City Airport and the Emirates Air Line Cable Car, making it a great choice for business and leisure travellers alike.

The 112 seat DoubleTree Restaurant, created by the award-winning interior architects at Design LSM, boasts Dock views and offers an all-day modern British and European influenced menu. The DoubleTree Lounge Bar is also open from 9 a.m. to 12 a.m. and offers an impressive range of drinks from around the world, including expertly created cocktails.

For guests wanting to stay active, DoubleTree by Hilton London ExCel offers a complimentary fitness centre with state-of-the-art equipment. Furthermore, for guests wanting to work or catch up with colleagues, the hotel offers two contemporary meeting spaces that can hold over 90 guests. Both spaces feature complimentary Wi-Fi and LCD screens.

Ashley Cole, general manager, DoubleTree by Hilton London ExCel said, “Situated nearby two of London’s largest international conference and entertainment centres, the hotel is a great base for visitors looking to explore London’s key attractions. Our modern guest rooms offer stunning views of the Royal Victoria Dock and easy accessibility to the city, via London’s first cable car. Myself and the team look forward to welcoming our first guests.”
