The Argentina Nature starred in England
Laguna Mar Chiquita with as hub, the country had an outstanding participation in the 30th edition of Birdfair, in the nature reserve Rutland.
The Ministry of Tourism of the Nation, through the National Institute of Tourism (INPROTUR), participated in the 30th edition of Birdfair,traditional international gathering of birds, Rutland Water Nature Reserve, England from 17 to 19 August 2018.
Birdfair is the leading event worldwide avistaje where for three days involving about 30,000 attendees and over 500 exhibitors from 85 countries. In addition to gathering a global multitude of fans watching, the end of the fair is to raise funds then finance conservation projects in the world.
Argentina had a very leading role, because the donation of 2018 will be aimed at the creation of Ansenuza National Park – a protected the country’s largest area comprising the wetland Laguna Mar Chiquita and marshes of the Rio Dulce in the Province of Cordoba. It will be held by BirdLife International in order to protect the habitat of around a million flamingoes found in this Cordovan corner.
The park covers an area of 800 thousand hectares. In this area is 66 percent of all species of migratory and shorebirds recorded in Argentina.
Moreover, in the context of Argentina ‘s participation in Birdfair, on Tuesday , August 21 Argentina Night was held at the residence of the Argentine ambassador in the United Kingdom, Carlos Sersale di Cerisano, which hosted a cocktail party for players industry and other local tour operators. The Delegation Argentina was led by representatives of the provinces of Córdoba, Corrientes, Jujuy, Salta and Tierra del Fuego, Antarctica and South Atlantic Islands, the Mayor of the Cordovan city of Miramar, Adrian Walker, Jose Ignacio Torno and Sergio Nirich, the Ministry of Water, Environment and Public Utilities of the Province of Córdoba, Daniel Kusebauch, representing INPROTUR, Alina Fernandez, the Ministry of Tourism of the Nation, and officials of the organization Aves Argentinas.
