The Parisian Macao’s Le Buffet Scoops ‘Best Macau Casual Dining Restaurant’ Award

Iconic restaurant takes top honours at prestigious Hong Kong Restaurant Interior Design Awards

The Parisian Macao’s Le Buffet restaurant has won the Best Macau Casual Dining Restaurant award at the Hong Kong Restaurant Interior Design Awards 2017 (HKRIDA), which were held in Hong Kong recently.

Part of leading Asia-Pacific fine dining and bar exhibition, Restaurant & Bar Hong Kong, the judging panel was comprised of experienced hospitality designers, senior food and beverage managers and specialist trade media, who all had the hard task of selecting the final winners. The presentation ceremony took place on Sept. 6, 2017, with the award being accepted by The Parisian Macao’s Chef de Cuisine Guillaume Gully.

Designed by San Francisco based Puccini Group, Le Buffet is a 450-seat, buffet restaurant featuring Art Deco detailing with an upscale French market / food hall vibe, zoned into three sections to provide different dining experiences for guests. With a Parisian café ambiance, the front dining area offers great views into the restaurant, while the main dining and buffet room features individually designed buffet stations and live cooking areas. One of the design features is an intricate five-metre overhead atrium which brings a sense of natural light to the overall ambience of the restaurant.

“We are honoured and thrilled that Le Buffet at our newest resort The Parisian Macao has been recognised for this prestigious design award,” commented Mark McWhinnie, Senior Vice President of Resort Operations and Development, Sands China Ltd. “It was a pleasure to work with The Puccini Group to create a restaurant that can not only meet the exacting needs of a busy hotel but at the same time deliver an authentic French market atmosphere for our guests, diners and visitors.”

The HKRIDA recognise the exceptional achievements of restaurants, bars and cafes and their designers that go above and beyond in their quest to deliver an exciting dining experience for their guests. One of the primary goals of the awards is also to highlight and promote the importance a restaurant’s interior design has on overall business growth.

The Parisian Macao is Sands Resorts Macao’s newest property, which opened on Sept. 13 last year. It features a half-size replica of the Eiffel Tower which sits majestically at the hotel’s entrance, and a full array of integrated resort facilities, including 3,000 guestrooms and suites, convention and meeting space, international restaurants, kids’ club, health club, pool deck with themed water park, along with a 1,200-seat theatre and entertainment.
