Air India puts Mysore City on Air Map
Mysore City called a Palace City of India was put on the air map of India with the introduction of six days a week flight from Bengaluru to Mysore by the National Carrier, Air India, a Star Alliance member.
At a colorful function held at Bengaluru Air- port, the inaugural flight was flagged off by Shri R.V.Deshpande – Hon’ble Minister for Heavy Industries and Tourism and Shri Sreenivas Prasad, – Hon’ble Minister for Revenue, Government of Karnataka. The check-in counters at Bengaluru Airport wore a festive look with floral decor and Shri R.V. Deshpande – Hon’ble Minister for Heavy Industries and Tourism, Shri Sreenivas Prasad – Hon’ble Minister for Revenue, Shri G.T.Devegowda – MLA, Shri Pilla Munishamappa – MLA accompanied by Chief Secretary, Shri Kaushik Mukherjee, Shri Pradeep Singh Kharola – IAS and Smt. Vandita Sharma – IAS lit the lamp.
The Minister expressed their happiness over the introduction of the flight which connects the capital City of Karnataka with the second biggest city of State (Mysore was the previous capital city of the State of Karnataka).
Mysore is a good tourist destination with Palaces – Brindavan Garden, Butterfly Park and a number of places of worship. It is also the Gateway City for the adventure tourists who undertake river rafting at Dubare in Coorg or the natural lovers who would like to visit Elephant Camp, also the Coffee Estates in Coorg.
