Eleven Sands Resorts Macao and Sands Macao Restaurants receive Wine Spectator Awards

Sands Resorts Macao and Sands® Macao’s 11 signature restaurants have been recognised for their outstanding wine programs by Wine Spectator’s 2017 Restaurant Awards.

Golden Court and Copa Steakhouse at Sands Macao; Portofino, North and Canton at The Venetian® Macao; Brasserie, Lotus Palace and La Chine at The Parisian Macao; Dynasty 8 at Conrad Macao, Cotai Central; and Zi Yat Heen at Four Seasons Hotel Macao, Cotai Strip were honoured, with all receiving the “Two Glasses” Best of Award of Excellence commendation.

Morton’s at The Venetian Macao received a “One Glass” Award of Excellence, while Copa added a second glass to the single glass acknowledgement it picked up in 2016 to score a Best of Award of Excellence. This is the sixth consecutive year that U.S. lifestyle magazine Wine Spectator has bestowed prestigious awards on Sands China restaurants for their outstanding wine lists.

The restaurant wine list award program has three levels: Award of Excellence, Best of Award of Excellence, and Grand Award. Each level follows select qualifications utilised by a multi-judge panel. The criteria range from quantitative measurements such as number of wine selection to depth, range and display of the list.

Founded in 1976,Wine Spectator magazine introduced its Restaurant Awards programme to review wine lists in 1981. They recognise restaurants which offer interesting wine selections appropriate to their cuisine which appeal to a wide range of wine lovers.
