Argentina present at the Global Conference SITE
INPROTUR attended the meeting in Rome from 12 to 14 January.
The Ministry of Tourism of the Nation, through the National Institute of Tourism (INPROTUR), participated in the Global Conference of the Society for Incentive Travel Excellence (SITE) 2018 in Rome , Italy, from 12 to 14 January.
This important meeting gathers concerning incentive travel and corporate events around the world. INPROTUR attended as a partner and leader in the executive committee of the regional chapter.
This edition, which had record attendance with over 600 delegates from 54 countries, SITE the first developed in conjunction with the Meeting Professionals International (MPI) organization, which allowed the national party to have contact with members of this entity. In addition, the occasion served to introduce the new president of SITE, Annamaria Ruffini, new CEO and Didier Scaillet.
According to the latest Site Index – study conducted by the organization each year on the travel segment of incentives- found that companies are slowly increasing budgets devoted to these trips, the average expenditure in 2017 reached 5,000 US dollars per delegate, and regarding the selected destinations for these trips, both Eastern Europe and Latin America showed strong growth since 2015.
In the region of South America, they participated members of SITE South America Chapter of Argentina, Brazil and Colombia. Similarly, the national delegation was present on behalf of the SITE South America Chapter in the Chapter Leaders Meeting and the MPI SITE + Leadership Dinner.
