Karanbir Singh Gulati appointed as Director Food & Beverage at Renaissance Mumbai Convention Centre Hotel

Karanbir Singh Gulati has been recently appointed as the Director Food and Beverage for Renaissance Mumbai Convention Centre Hotel and Lakeside Chalet – Marriott Executive Apartments. In his new role, heading a team of culinary professionals, he will be crafting an exciting and innovative direction to create unique experience in all the Food & Beverage outlets.

Karanbir comes with more than 10 years of experience at some of the finest luxury, business & leisure hotels and restaurant chains. His demonstrated history of working in the hospitality industry has seen him lead rich cross-functional roles across F&B Operations, Business Planning, Profit Center Operations, Vendor Management, Market Communication, General Administration and People Management. He defines his purpose as ‘Establishing and growing great organizations that leave people and places better than found.’

A seasoned professional, Karanbir Singh Gulati, graduated with a B.S.C. in Hospitality & Hotel Administration from Institute of Hotel Management, Shillong, India. In his previous stints, he had worked in Starwood’s (Now Marriott) Luxury Collection properties like ITC Maurya, ITC Maratha, ITC Grand Central, Park Sheraton and managed internationally awarded restaurants like Bukhara and Dumpukht. He was also associated with AccorHotel’s Flagship 670 Room property Pullman- Novotel Aerocity as the Assistant Director of Food & Beverage. His last assignment was with the Massive Restaurants Pvt. Ltd., managing the Luxury Brands namely: Pa PaYa, Masala Library and Kode in India. Having worked many cities across India, his passion lies towards driving Beverage and Banquet sales with the varied experience he carries.

A passionate wine, food and travel enthusiast, Karanbir has some serious opinion on wines stemming from his specialized knowledge on the wine industry. He holds the position of a Certified WSET Level 3 Sommelier, having stood third position in the All India Sommelier Championship in November 2014.

Karanbir is an eternal optimist. He has a keen strategic mind and is always in search of innovative ways for building business. An alumni of the eminent Bishop Cotton School Shimla and WMI (ITC Hotel’s Management Training Program), Karanbir has a strong sense of tradition. In his free time he dabbles in writing poetry and dons the MasterChef apron at home with his experimental cooking escapades.
