Sabre names Daver Ka Fai Lau as regional director for Sabre Travel Network North Asia

Sabre Corporation (NASDAQ: SABR) has named Daver Lau regional director for Sabre Travel Network North Asia.

Reporting to newly appointed Sabre Travel Network Asia Pacific vice president of sales and market development Todd Arthur, Daver will lead the Sabre Travel Network business in North Asia. This includes China, Hong Kong, Korea and Taiwan. Based out of Taiwan, he will be responsible for business expansion and relationship development in the North Asia region, as well as driving local product and support initiatives for customers in these strategic markets.

A global distribution system business and travel technology veteran, Daver has held various management roles in Asia Pacific spanning the last 19 years, most recently serving as General Manager for Amadeus Taiwan Limited.

“Daver brings to the table extensive experience in the GDS business and a deep-rooted understanding of how technology can most effectively impact the travel industry. This, and his knowledge of the market nuances in this region, positions him well to drive our North Asia operations into the next phase of APAC growth that Sabre is entering,” commented Roshan Mendis, senior vice president for Sabre Travel Network Asia Pacific.

Daver holds an MBA from the College of Technology Management, National Tsing Hua University, serves as a Board Director on the European Chamber of Commerce Taipei and is President of Skål International Taiwan.
