Clarks Inn: March of the century
Total tally reaches 75 hotels in 2016 as the company now eyes the magical figure of 100 hotel portfolio this year.
Few hotel companies have been able to leverage the growth potential that the Indian hospitality market offers to hotel companies like Clarks Inn Group of Hotels, one of the country’s fastest growing hotel chains in the country today. In business for just over ten years, the hotel company has emerged as probably the biggest success story in India with a portfolio of 75 hotel properties, including 40 in operation, spread across 16 states in India and one in Nepal.
According to S N Srivastava, President and Co-founder, Clarks Inn Group of Hotels, “There was a time when we were striving hard to attract hotel owners and developers to work with us. Today by the grace of god, our relentless endeavour and services and the massive trust that our business partners and owners have placed in us, we are managing a portfolio of 75 hotels including 40 that are currently in operation and the remaining slated to open door over the next couple of years. We have now set sight to reach the magical figure of 100 hotel properties by the end of the year. We have a strong development pipeline and given the goodwill and industry confidence in our ability to deliver profitable partnership we are confident of achieving this target.”
Clarks Inn’s Associate Vice President – Operations, Rahul Deb Banerjee, says, “Last year was particularly significant for us as Clarks Inn Group of Hotels not only witnessed a strong growth, both in terms of overall sign-ups and new operational properties added to the portfolio, but also in terms of our footprints extending to new markets. We not only witnessed significant growth in business locations, but also in leisure and pilgrimage destinations like Shirdi and Katra. We have continued to bring unchartered territory and new markets in the fold of organised hospitality and, as part of our corporate philosophy, will not only market our hotels but also these destinations that we operate in.”
