American Airlines appoints World Connect as General Sales Agent for India

American Airlines has appointed World Connect Pvt. Ltd. as the company’s sales representatives in India effective 1st November, 2014.

Ateam of 10 will include a Product Manager, Operational Manager, three Reservation Agents and two Sales Executives based in Delhi plus two Sales Executives located in Mumbai and one Sales Executive in Chennai. American can also call upon additional field staff in other major cities across India. Craig Dewey, American Airlines’ Managing Director Sales, EMEA and India comments: “India is the fastest growing market for travel to the US with nearly 1 million passengers expected to have completed journeys by the end of 2014. India is an important market for American Airlines and World Connect Pvt. Ltd. will help us increase our presence across the country.” Vikramjit S. Ahluwalia, Managing Director, World Connect Pvt. Ltd, said: “World Connect is delighted to be appointed General Sales Agent (GSA) for American Airlines – the world’s largest airline – for the territory of India.” American Airlines is currently represented by Atlantic Joint Business partner British Airways. Despite the change in sales representatives, American Airlines remains fully committed to this joint business, which has recently celebrated its fourth anniversary and continues to go from strength to strength.
