Argentina had an outstanding participation in IBTM World Fair in Barcelona

INPROTUR attended one of the most important meetings Meetings Tourism.

The Ministry of Tourism of the Nation, through the National Institute of Tourism (INPROTUR) participated with great success of the 29th edition of the Fair Incentives, Business Travel and Meetings (IBTM) World developed from November 29 to December 1, 2016 in Barcelona, ​​Spain.

IBTM World Fair is one of the most important in the world in Tourism Meetings. Argentina ‘s participation allowed to carry out a lot of meetings with Hosted Buyers,companies and authorities of various specialized associations in this tourist segment worldwide. It is recalled that our country has 48 destinations prepared for congresses, fairs, sporting events and corporate and incentive travel.

Our country was represented by Undersecretary of Tourism Development Ministry of Tourism of Argentina, Lic. Silvana Biagiotti, the Director of Tourism Product INPROTUR, Lic. Pablo Sismanian, the Coordinator of Tourism Meetings INPROTUR, Lic. Emora Franco Ing. Diego Gutierrez, protreasurer of the Argentina Chamber of Tourism (CAT) and vice president of the Argentina Association of Organizers and Suppliers Exhibition, Conferences and Events (AOCA).

Also participated both representatives of Official Travel Organizations as the Bureaus of the Provinces of Buenos Aires, Cordoba, Chaco , with the presence of Deputy Governor Daniel Capitanich -, Mendoza, Santa Fe, Salta and Tucumán and the cities of Buenos Aires, El Calafate, La Plata, Mar del Plata, Posadas, Puerto Iguazú, Rosario and San Carlos de Bariloche, along with 21 tourism companies linked to the activity and Aerolineas Argentinas. In addition, the national delegation had a permanent presence of the Consul General of Argentina in Barcelona, Alejandro Alonso Sainz, by the Deputy Consul, Marina Ripari.

During the three days of the fair, exhibitors were able to meet with more than 3,000 international events makers, representatives of International Professional Associations, companies organizing conferences and travel agencies specializing in motivational.

The Argentine stand – with its innovative sustainable design – was located at the beginning of American industry, which gave high visibility not only the country, but each of the participants from the region. In addition, a pair of tango was presented, and this time, thanks to the kindness of the province of Salta, the national space included a representative of the Argentine folklore.

Given that Argentina had the Hosted Buyers Lounge, the meeting served to invited buyers to taste typical gastronomic products from Argentina and know the tourist brand #ArgentinaWorldFriendly.
