Celebrity Constellation arrives in style in Mumbai; guests enjoy an unforgettable evening

Unforgettable evening planned for travel companies & special invitees on board the award-winning Celebrity Constellation leaves them in awe of its luxurious features and amenities.

TIRUN, the exclusive India representative of Celebrity Cruises recently hosted a gala evening to celebrate the arrival of the 90,000-tonne, award-winning cruise ship Celebrity Constellation in Mumbai. Key travel partners along with special invitees were given an hour-long tour of the luxury cruise ship to witness its many wonders first hand. One of the major attractions of Celebrity Constellation was the venue of the event, The Reflections Lounge – a massive, futuristic living room space where the guest interaction was held, followed by a cocktail party. The ship, which has recently been revitalized, was docked overnight in Mumbai and left the travel partners and invitees in awe of the variety of features and amenities it offers.

The event also celebrated the fact that Celebrity Constellation will become the first ship of the Celebrity Cruises’ fleet to sail from an Indian port. With 5 & 7 night sailings, Indian travelers will have the opportunity to travel from/to Mumbai & sail to ports across India & UAE. Guests can choose any of the sailing dates from 2nd-9th January 2018 and 9th-14th January 2018.

The evening began with an hour-long ship tour that saw guests marvel at everything the ship is equipped with – Spa Clubs, Celebrity lounges, entertainment shows, and brand new venues that offer a range of exotic culinary experiences. The ship’s latest culinary venue, A Rooftop Terrace – featuring chic, cozy furniture and surprising artistic elements – elevated the culinary experience to an unparalleled level.  The ship is also equipped with a large soundscape movie screen which elicited a great response from the special invitees.

Guests received a unique chance to engage in a conversation with Lisa Vogt, Associate Vice President, Corporate Incentives & Charter Sales, Celebrity Cruises and Alexis Puma, Manager, International Charter Sales, Celebrity Cruises. The representatives explained in detail the outstanding on-board experience that Celebrity Constellation offers, and the high demand from Indian cruise travellers that encouraged Celebrity Cruises to include various Indian ports in its itineraries. They also shed light on role of TIRUN in promoting Celebrity Cruises in India & the growing opportunity for MICE groups and weddings on Celebrity Cruises which offers unique advantages over land based luxury.

Commenting on the event, Ratna Chadha, Chief Executive, TIRUN Travel Marketing said, “It gives us great pleasure to welcome Celebrity Constellation to Indian shores and invite our guests on a luxury cruise from Mumbai for the first time ever. The event was extremely successful in introducing key Indian travel agents to the services on the ship and giving them a glimpse of the luxury experiences & features on-board, enabling them to better sell packages to their customers. Guests enjoyed their time to the hilt and we hope the event will serve as another huge boost to the already piquing interest in cruise travel amongst Indian travel agents.”

The special guests were also regaled with a unique Silent Disco session that allowed them to listen to their favorite songs via headphones and dance in an otherwise silent room, the latest fad in discos all over the world. This was followed by a gala dinner at Ocean view Cafe. After an evening spent taking in the unparalleled luxury and aesthetic brilliance of Celebrity Constellation, the guests disembarked at around 9.30 pm.

The immaculately-planned evening further underlined the growing importance of the South Asian market in the global cruise industry. Celebrity Cruises has been tapping key opportunities for targeting affluent Indians, which has given it a clear edge over its competitors. The special amenities provided by its ships for Indian travelers onboard, such as specialized Indian menus, have also contributed to making it one of the most sought-after cruise lines for the new Indian, well-traveled discerning cruise-loving traveler.
