Known with many names like, “Sin City”, “The Gambling Capital of the World”, “City of Lights”, “The Marriage Capital of the World”, “The Silver City”, the city of Las Vegas, Nevada is an incredible tourist destination to explore and spend some great time while staying in its spectacular hotels and resorts. It is called ‘Sin City’ because of its gambling and mob history, although it’s so much more than slot machines, like, poker tables and wedding chapels with Elvis impersonators solemnizing. The remarkable Strip is filled with over-the-top casinos that permit tourists to visit different countries and see world landmarks without setting foot off The Strip, which is officially known as ‘Las Vegas Boulevard’. The casinos feature attractions from pirate ships to great circus acts to Egyptian monuments and striking botanical gardens!

The Strip

Las Vegas has a large number of casinos which can be found throughout the city, but “the Strip”, is a stretch of Las Vegas Boulevard South in Clark County, Nevada that contains most them. The Strip features huge mega-casino hotels, festooned with lavish care and detailed to make a fantasy-like atmosphere. These casinos often have names and themes which evoke romance, mystery and isolated destinations. Being one of the most visible features of the Las Vegas’ cityscape is its use of dramatic architecture. Also, the swiftly evolving skyline and continuous modernization of the hotels, casinos, restaurants and entertainment offerings on the Strip, have made it as one of the most famous places for tourists visiting the United States.

Bellagio

One of the most popular casinos in the city of Las Vegas, the Bellagio Casino is visited by millions of gamblers and visitors every day. This casino is famous for its dancing fountains, conservatory and the beautifully landscaped botanical gardens. The garden has many plants that it takes 140 horticulturists to maintain it as well as plan holiday-themed displays. Quite similar to the gardens, the fountains are just remarkable. The fountains burst with a fusion of light and music that range from opera to Broadway tunes, all through the day and night. It’s just unarguable while referring that that Bellagio is the most ambitious, choreographically complex water feature ever conceived.

Stratosphere Tower

Most of the Vegas hotels are center on themes or special gimmicks to allure visitors. The Stratosphere Hotel is no exception; it has the Stratosphere Tower, which soars up to the height of 1,149 feet high. This tower is the tallest freestanding tower in the entire United States. The main feature of this tower is the observation deck, which is the place offering fantastic 360-degree view of the Las Vegas city and surrounding terrain. The tower remains open till 1 a.m. on weekdays and 2 a.m. during weekends; therefore, it’s a good place to see Las Vegas at its sparkling best. It is also amongst the most visited attractions in Las Vegas city. Moreover, it will appeal to daredevils and thrill seekers who enjoy an adrenaline can sky jump off the tower at 855 feet. Adventure enthusiasts must enjoy this sky jump!

Caesars Palace

Caesars Palace is an ambitious resort located in the city. It was dreamed up and built Jay Sarno and his passion for gambling led him to Las Vegas, where he envisaged a casino much more appealing than what the Strip had been offering. So, the Caesars Palace opened in the year 1966 at a cost of $24 million and was unlike anything Las Vegas had seen before. This palace has fountains with pools and employees in Roman-themed uniforms, while the casino has made an appearance in various Hollywood movies such as the Academy Award-winning film “Rain Main” and the 2009 hit comedy “The Hangover”.

Fremont Street Experience

A must visit attraction in Las Vegas, the Fremont Street Experience is a pedestrian mall located in Downtown Las Vegas, Nevada. It is situated on a five-block section of Fremont Street, also referred to as ‘Glitter Gulch’ in city’s early years; the Fremont Street Experience is an excellent sound and light show that will certainly make your senses enchanted. There is a colorful display of lights and loud music takes place many times a night under a 90-foot high canopy. The main signal about that the show is about to start is that the casinos and other shops turn-off their lights. It is an interesting fact to know that over 12 million LED lights flash through the pedestrian mall located in the Las Vegas. The show can be described in one word i.e., Incredible! It is also a major party venue for the annual New Year’s Eve party in the city of Las Vegas.
