Special pilgrims’ trains to Takht Patna Sahib

With a view to facilitate pilgrims travelling to Takht Patna Sahib in Bihar for the concluding ceremony of 350th birth anniversary celebrations of Guru Gobind Singh from December 22 to 25, the Haryana government will arrange two trains from Ambala and Sirsa on December 22.

This was disclosed by information, public relations and languages department director Sameer Pal Srow. He shared the information while he was presiding over a meeting of the district administration officials through a video conference on Tuesday. He said the city magistrate in each district has been appointed as nodal officer for the visit of pilgrims to Patna.

Srow said the respective district-level committee constituted for this purpose would select maximum 140 pilgrims in each district. He also said that the decision of the government in this regard would be final. The train from Ambala would leave at 10.30 am on December 22. It would reach Patna at 3 pm on December 23, via Kurukshetra, Karnal, Panipat, Sonipat and Delhi.

He said similarly, the train from Sirsa would also leave at the same time on December 22. The train would reach the Bihar capital at 5 pm on December 23, via Hisar, Bhiwani, Rohtak and Delhi.
