Tourism Turkey conducts FAM trip for leading Indian corporate houses
The Turkish Tourism Board in cooperation with Turkish Airlines and Accor Hotels recently hosted yet another successful MICE FAM for representatives of leading corporate houses from India. In the first week of November, Turkey hosted a MICE group comprising of representatives from six companies and two B2B publications who travelled to Antalya & Istanbul to experience the cultural & cosmopolitan aspects of Turkey. The tourism board in India has been receiving an overwhelming response from various MICE groups and is planning to host more MICE FAMs in months to come
Representatives from companies like Maxlife Insurance, Silverskills private Ltd, Glenmark pharmaceuticals, Bajaj Alianz, Akumentis Healthcare attended this well curated FAM. The carefully curated itinerary helped showcase the best of Turkish culture, MICE& hospitality to the delegation.
The first destination for the group was Istanbul where the first day group had several potential hotel inspections like Swiss Hotel Bosphorous, Istanbul, Fairmont Hotel, Novotel Bosphorus. The second day of the itinerary involved MICE specific hotel tours of hotels and cruise dinner and experienced the regional cuisine and culture very closely. After Istanbul the group headed to Antalya and stayed in some of the best hotels in Belek region and indulged in sightseeing. Experiencing the Rixos Premium Belek Facilities the group moved towards the Land of Legends theme park and further had fun at the shopping avenue, boat parade evening and the show of Franco Dragon. The tour ended with the cultural visit to Aspendos Antique theatre, Duden waterfall and old town.
The number of MICE groups travelling to Turkey from India has been steadily increasing and has led to more corporate houses showing interest to Turkey travel. Istanbul & Antalya have emerged as key cities in terms of MICE movements in India. The numbers that have emerged so far from January to July proves that more & more Indian companies, business houses & corporates are looking at Turkey for MICE travel.
