Trans India Holidays launches Bigbreaks.com

Trans India Holidays has launched a Travel Portal, Bigbreaks.com in January 2016. Big Breaks is headed by Kapil Goswamy, who is also the CEO and Managing Director of Trans India Holidays and Trans World Travels, two successful brick and mortar Travel Companies that have been around for over 25 years.  In the already competitive and cluttered arena of long established OTA’s, Big Breaks promises to be different.

At the launch, Kapil Goswamy while answering how he thought Big Breaks would be able to stand out in the OTA market dominated by big and long established players. He said “while the others were technology companies doing travel, they are a travel company adopting technology to give their clients three important things i.e., Choice, Convenience & Value. Putting their business Online means, that customers will have a wider Choice (no printed brochure can offer the 300+ holiday packages that Bigbreaks.com offers), the Convenience of 24×7 online bookings, and the Price advantage that comes with online bookings.”

According to him, having a robust brick and mortar presence to support Big Breaks allows them to provide a level of customization that no other online travel site can provide , and this same brick and mortar presence allows them to assist clients seamlessly when it comes to requests for Visas and such other ancillary services. Another differentiating factor according to him was the product range itself.  He said that while they will be promoting common destinations like Dubai, Singapore, Hong Kong etc., their product range also has several new, unique and lesser known destinations like Myanmar , Latin America etc. Additionally, according to Kapil Goswamy, the Online Travel Market, which is growing at between 15 and 20 % per annum is currently dominated by 6 or 7 players only, and there is certainly room for a few more, particularly those who have been around in the Travel Industry all their lives.

Big Breaks has begun as a B2C Portal, but is soon going to be launching its B2B services as well.  Also, keeping pace with the increasing usage of mobile technologies, in the next few months, Big Breaks will be launching its Android and IOS Mobile apps.  Presently focused on the Delhi and NCR area, Big Breaks plans to have a pan India presence in the coming years.
