Vistara takes delivery of its first Airbus A320neo today says its #NotJustAnotherNeo

Vistara, India’s finest full-service carrier, today took delivery of its first Airbus A320neo (new engine option) at Airbus Headquarters in Toulouse, making it the 14th aircraft in the airline’s growing fleet. Apart from the technical advancements that come with the A320neo, Vistara has unveiled several enhancements to the product on the aircraft to provide an even more delightful travel experience to its customers. Vistara’s A320neo features mood lighting (first time in India for an Airbus A320 operator), more comfortable seating with a new seat bottom and seat back design, softer cushion, and a refreshing new look across all three cabin classes. The aircraft also carriers the Vistara and Airbus A320neo logos on the underbelly of the aircraft, a first for Vistara.

As part of its commitment to providing a differentiated experience for its customers, Vistara has enhanced multiple features within the cabin. The Business Class cabin exudes a luxurious ambience with a fine blend of airline’s brand colors, Aubergine and gold. Features such as wider seat backs, softer cushions, enhanced literature pockets and softer leather upholstery promise a premium experience onboard. The rich color scheme of Aubergine and Gold continues into the exclusive Premium Economy cabin, with improved seat cushions, softer seat leather, re-designed height 4-way adjustable headrest, filling the cabin with a sense of style along with comfort. Economy Class in the new aircraft has a calm Grey and rich Aubergine color scheme with enhanced cushioning for seats crafted in soft leather and with padded head support.

With the introduction of mood lighting in the cabin, Vistara takes ‘the new feeling’ to a different level. In line with Vistara’s brand colors, the pre-defined lighting scenarios for different phases of flight use a carefully selected palette of colours and dynamic transitions to enhance the ambience and overall experience in the cabin. Besides, the airline has also introduced new boarding and landing music in genres including blues, jazz and carefully curated soft rock instrumentals that complement the atmospheric mood lighting to appeal to sophisticated world travelers and global citizens.

Vistara has selected CFM International’s advanced LEAP-1A engine to power its A320neo aircraft, with engine features such as its fuel efficiency, reliability, and operating economics, making it a remarkable enhancement to the aircraft Vistara’s fleet.

The Airbus A320 neo is the world’s best-selling single-aisle aircraft product line, which incorporates several technological advancements delivered by Airbus to provide unbeatable efficiency and comfort to its global customer base. It is also an environment-friendly aircraft, which results in reduced fuel burn corresponding to an annual reduction in CO2 emissions of around 900 tonnes per aircraft.

Vistara continues to grow and gain accolades as it redefines air travel in India by offering seamless and personalized service to its customers. In a short span of a little over two years, Vistara has grown to expand its network to 19 destinations with over 550 weekly flights, having flown close to 5 million happy customers already.
