10th Edition of Grand Prix Season Singapore (GPSS)
Expect a slew of heart-thumping lifestyle events and promotions beyond the FORMULA 1 SINGAPORE AIRLINES SINGAPORE GRAND PRIX race track in September.
Grand Prix Season Singapore (GPSS) celebrates 10 years of FORMULA 1 SINGAPORE AIRLINES SINGAPORE GRAND PRIX this year with more than 100 exhilarating lifestyle events, activities and promotions in various precincts that everyone can enjoy from 8 to 17 September 2017.
“For the 10th year running, Grand Prix Season Singapore continues to complement and differentiate the FORMULA 1 SINGAPORE AIRLINES SINGAPORE GRAND PRIX by extending the excitement and fun beyond the race track. To commemorate this milestone, we have worked with our existing and new GPSS stakeholders to deliver a wide variety of special experiences and promotions that promise excitement at every turn for persons with different passions,” says Jean Ng, Director, Sports, Singapore Tourism Board.
Party goers will be spoilt for choice when it comes to race-themed entertainment, with perennial favourites such as Amber Lounge, The Original FORMULA 1 Party, The Podium Lounge, Sky Grande Prix and CÉ LA VI and GPSS newcomers like The Landmark Circuit and Boudoir Blanc offering non-stop revelry. For connoisseurs, the options are aplenty: Stellar at 1-Altitude and 1919 Waterboat House, for example, are presenting dining experiences themed around the race weekend. Jazz music lovers will be able to groove to the soothing voice of Singaporean crooner Leandra Lane at the Manhattan GPSS Golden Glamour Jazz Night, a one-night only event at the award-winning Manhattan Bar. And for the first time, local retailer Naiise is partnering bicycle-sharing service oBike for a Design Circuit where shopaholics and cycling enthusiasts alike can discover the best of Singapore’s design, lifestyle and heritage products on wheels and through fun-filled activities at various pit stops.
In addition, race ticket holders are entitled to discounts of at least 10 per cent for different categories of offerings including attractions, dining, retail and even tours. GPSS 2017’s collection of lifestyle events complements the 2017 FORMULA 1 SINGAPORE AIRLINES SINGAPORE GRAND PRIX, which remains the only night street race in the global FORMULA 1 circuit. Ticket holders can look forward to in-circuit concert headliners such as Calvin Harris, Ariana Grande, The Chainsmokers, OneRepublic, Seal, and Duran Duran together with fringe acts and performances.
