Heavenly Spa launches Tibetan Sound Healing Meditation
As part of a conscious effort to enrich its Wellness Calendar, Heavenly Spa by Westin™ takes great pleasure to announce the launch of yet another meaningful program. Tibetan Sound Healing is a form of meditation that promotes relaxation, balances both hemispheres of the brain and improves sleep quality.
Sound healing is an effective and proven modality using vibrational sound to help reduce stress, alter consciousness and create a sense of peace, well-being and better health. Studies indicate that sound can also assist in the recovery process for many different types of illness and trauma, as well as invasive surgery.
During this session, a specially crafted Tibetan sound bowl made from copper and brass is struck with a wooden mallet to produce a vibrational frequency. This tone creates the perfect state for deep meditation and creative thinking. Sound can even be harnessed to cleanse negative energy, heighten intuition and stimulate personal motivation. These particular bowls, also known as singing bowls, have long been used by Tibetan monks and can be traced back to ancient India. They can be found in Buddhist monasteries and temples throughout the world and are considered an essential aid to meditation.
This new program is conducted by Jitendra Pokhriyal, resident Wellness Specialist at The Westin Resort Nusa Dua, Bali. Hailing from the birthplace of yoga in India, Jitendra is responsible for the Wellness Calendar, which is a thoughtfully crafted menu of interactive encounters to uplift body, mind and spirit.
Tibetan Sound Healing Meditation is currently available at the Resort every Monday through to Saturday from 3pm to 4pm until 20th September 2018. It is priced at IDR 150,000 net per person or IDR 250,000 net per person for outside visitors. Advance reservation is required. Each session is a personalized experience beginning with Jitendra guiding participants into a state of relaxation. Then the Tibetan sound bowl is gently struck to emit a harmonic hum that clears the mind in preparation to enter a higher level of awareness.
Preserving wellness in travel is a brand philosophy that drives The Westin Resort Nusa Dua, Bali. This unique concept is supported by various initiatives and Heavenly Spa by Westin™ plays a significant role in promoting a better way of life. The introduction of Tibetan Sound Healing Meditation is yet another program to inspire and engage healthy lifestyle seekers.
