Clarks Inn strengthens its pan-India presence, makes international foray
2018 was a remarkably good year for Clarks Inn Group. It was a year of achieving milestones. Last year Clarks Inn achieved a historic milestone of having 50 operational hotels. ” In 2018, we added 12 hotels to our operational portfolio, thus reaching a momentous landmark to have a portfolio of 50 operational hotels. Last year we also signed 17 hotels and made our international debut by opening our first hotel outside India in Nepal,” informed Rahul Dev Banerjee, Associate Vice President – Operations, Clarks Inn Group of Hotels.
Since its inception in 2006, there is no looking back for Clarks Inn Group. In a short span of time, the group has become the fastest growing home-grown hotel chain in India. “Our track record in terms of growth has no parallel in the Indian hospitality industry. Now we have an established presence in almost every part of the country, and we are truly a pan-India hotel chain,” said Banerjee.
The chain continues to be on expansion spree by opening many new hotels this year and many are scheduled to open in coming months. “We kicked off 2019 on a very strong note, by opening as many as 10 hotels within the first five months of the year,” said Banerjee. These hotels have opened at Katra, Bhowali, Raipur, Gaya, Bhagalpur, Vijayapura (Bijapur), Nepalgunj, Hassan, Amritsar and Goa. Moreover, as Banerjee informed, the company has signed seven hotel properties in the first five months of this year. They are located at Gaya, Bhagalpur, Bhopal, Amritsar, Goa, Hosur and Nepalgunj (Nepal). All the newly opened hotels are equipped with modern amenities such as lounge and bar, health club and spa and have multiple F&B outlets. They offer large spaces for business events and social gatherings.
Elaborating further on company’s plans for 2019, Banerjee said that Clarks Inn aims to add around 25 properties to its operational portfolio this year, including 10 properties that have already been opened till May 2019. “Over the next few months, we will be opening hotels at Bareilly, Belgaum, Bhopal, Kota, Lucknow, Mysore, Pathankot, Rae Bareli and Ramgarh,” informed Banerjee. He added that Clarks Inn is very much hopeful of signing more than 25 properties this year. “With the strong interest in our brand promises and deliverables as well as a robust pipeline, we are confident that we will achieve our target of signing more than 25 properties by the year-end.”
Clarks Inn now operates a portfolio of about 55 properties, with the size of its combined portfolio reaching 92 hotels including operational ones, and is present in over 20 Indian states and Nepal.
