Air Busan renews global partnership with Sabre
Renewed partnership to help Air Busan expand its distribution footprint in its growth and expansion plans.
Sabre Corporation, the leading technology provider to the global travel industry announced a renewed partnership with Air Busan, an Asiana Group affiliate. The partnership will see travel agents on Sabre’s platform continue to enjoy access to the best of Air Busan’s fares and inventory.
Sabre has forged a strong relationship with Air Busan since 2012, when the low-cost carrier first selected Sabre as its global distribution system (GDS) partner. As Air Busan develops new growth and distribution strategies to keep up with the competition, they have extended their outreach to cover international routes.
“Sabre is proud to extend the partnership with Air Busan as its distribution footprint expands in international markets,” said Rakesh Narayanan, vice president of Air Commerce, Sabre Travel Network Asia Pacific. “Air Busan’s decision to renew Sabre as its preferred distribution partner is a strong testament and further affirms Sabre’s deep relationship with the Asiana group,” he added.
“South Korea is one of the world’s fastest growing travel markets. As Air Busan adds connectivity to more key destinations internationally, we are excited about this renewed strategic partnership with Sabre,” commented Yong Kwak Chang, Senior Executive Vice President, Sales Division, Air Busan. “As a leader operating in the global travel marketplace, we are confident that Sabre will help us grow our brand and presence in the global travel market,” Chang added.
Effective September 2017, the renewal will continue to see unique content from Air Busan made available to the markets on Sabre’s platform, allowing Sabre travel agencies to choose the best routes for their customers.
