Tourist / Business / Transit / Seamen Visa
Effective from March 5, 2012, it is mandatory for all applicants to complete an online form. Applicants can download the required forms from http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/
Applicant needs to click on the button APPLY ONLINE
He / she need to select the purpose of visit in the options given.
After filling up the online visa form applicant will get an option for appointment date.
With this printout applicant needs to visit VFS for biometrics.
Visa fees has to be paid online using Visa or MasterCard debit or credit cards or via e-wallet (PayPal or Skrill).
Note: Now, Indian Nationals require visa for Bahamas. The same can be applied at The British High Commission in New Delhi.
- The Applicant should have a valid passport valid for at least 6 months.
- One duly filled visa application form (photocopy is allowed).
- Two photographs with against a white background.
- A covering letter from the applicant mentioning the purpose of travel, duration of stay, etc.
- Original Bank Statements for last six months.
- Original Income Tax Returns for last 3 years.
- Original salary slips for last six months.
- If traveling for tourism purposes, leave letter from the Employee.
- Photocopies of all the originals are to be submitted along with the originals. All original documents will be returned only after the visa is processed.
- Since all applications are referred to Bahamas for approval, processing time can vary between 6 to 8 weeks.
- Visa handling / forwarding application fee is Rs. 12, 075.
