Last date extended for tourism contests

The last date for receipt of nominations for various events being organised by Andhra Pradesh Tourism in association with Andhra University has been extended to September 4. The events are being organised in connection with the forthcoming World Tourism Day 2017 celebrations to be held on Sept 27.

Andhra University is the coordinating institute for three districts of Visakhapatnam, Vizianagaram and Srikakulam. The last date, which was originally August 30, was extended following requests from some colleges. There would be no further extension of the last date, according to Regional Coordinator N. Sambasiva Rao.

The events being organised include: poster painting on the theme ‘Sustainable tourism – A tool for development’, paper presentation on various sub-themes on tourism, quiz competition and tourism photography contest.
