Radisson Hotel Group in Asia Pacific Celebrates International Women’s Day

Radisson Hotel Group, one of the world’s leading global hospitality companies, celebrates International Women’s Day in Asia Pacific, reaffirming its commitment to gender equality and women’s empowerment by appointing some of the industry’s brightest female talents to senior leadership roles.

Katerina Giannouka was appointed as the Group’s President for Asia Pacific last December. A dedicated, dynamic and passionate hospitality professional, Katerina’s role is to propel the strategic growth of the region and expand underlying business operations in Asia Pacific. She brings with her over 17 years of combined experience in development, transactions, asset management, advisory, and operations spanning across some 35 countries.

Also on the company’s Asia Pacific executive committee is Camilla Chiam, Radisson Hotel Group’s Vice President of Communications, Public Relations and Brands for Asia Pacific. She leads a team focused on developing and implementing strategies to increase the visibility and elevate the profile of Radisson Hotel Group and its hotel brands, supporting the Group’s expansion in Asia Pacific. Camilla is a seasoned specialist in global communications, brand and public relations, who has worked in the United States and Singapore.

Reaffirming its commitment to gender equality and women’s empowerment, the Group’s operating hotels across Asia Pacific recently promoted three distinguished women to General Managers, taking on leadership positions in driving operational excellence at their hotels.

China – Jane Zhang has taken charge of the 438-room Radisson Blu Hotel Chongqing Sha Ping Ba – one of the Chinese city’s leading hotels. This marks the culmination of a sharp career progression for Jane who has risen from Director of Sales & Marketing to Executive Assistant Manager, Hotel Manager and finally General Manager in the last five years.

India - Pooja S. Patti was appointed General Manager of the Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Goa Candolim in India. She joined the company in 2013 as an Operations Manager. The Philippines - Emelyn Mauhay-Rosales has become General Manager of the Park Inn by Radisson Davao. She initially joined the hotel as Director of Sales & Marketing, but her talent was quickly recognized and rewarded, as she was promoted to Hotel Manager and then General Manager.

“At Radisson Hotel Group, we believe in empowering our team to be the best they can be, gender equality is an intrinsic part of our corporate philosophy. With a strong diversity agenda, we continue to advance and attract talented women to increase success and growth in our region,” said Robert Chessen, Senior Vice President, Resources, Asia Pacific, Radisson Hotel Group.
