‘Tech savvy young population of India is a key factor’
Sanchit Garg is co-founder and director of TravelTriangle.Com. He has a strong tech background. Garg said that his success comes from the growth stories of our 500+ travel agents. “They are our partners and it is a mutual success. We have seen our travel agents growing from a 2 people team to 20 people; working from a small half room office to having state of the art technology. Many of them are generating revenue of Rs 1crore + per month now.” Garg added, “Our e-commerce platform is helping them become more and more efficient and get a better output from business. We have specialised tools for our agent partners which is driving up their performance and making their work more organised. We support and invest in our agent partners as it is with their success we will succeed.”
TravelTriangle.Com aims at partnering with more and more agents and bringing the tool of e-commerce to them. “With this we also see a dynamic growth for the company in future,” said Garg.
So what are the factors driving the growth of travel start-ups? According to Garg, India has world’s youngest population which is into travel for pleasure and adventure. They are tech savvy and use e-commerce in every aspect of their lives, including holiday and travel. However, many travel agents are offline. “So we have set up the online platform and connected the supply and demand aspects. So while one hand we provide travelers quality deals, we provide the agents quality leads and customers many of which will give and are giving repeat business,” said Garg. “We believe in doing good and quality work. Once that is delivered, funding comes. The objective is to deliver best service both to traveler and agent side.”
