Roopkund, Skelton Lake 

Earlier recognized for its deep forests, splashing streams, breathtaking campsites and never-ending meadows, Roopkund is now famous as Skeleton Lake due to a large number of human skeletons found near the lake. Skeleton Lake is a high altitude freezing lake in Chamoli district of the Indian state of Uttarakhand. The place has been popular due to the human skeletal remains that can be seen after melting of snow. There are many theories about the existence of the remains of these skeletons.

Bhangarh Fort, Alwar

Renowned for its historical ruins, Bhangarh Fort is one the eminent tourist attractions at the edge of the Sariska Tiger Reserve. The place is supposed to be one of the most haunted places in India. Situated at 300-km drive away from Delhi, the place is a den of the ghosts. Not many people know about this place and the fort is located at the foothills of the leaning landscape. There are many temples inside the fort. It can make you amazed with the fact that how a place can be haunted when there are so many temples. The fort is slightly dark and lots of myths are associated with this.

Jatinga, Assam

The tranquil village of Jatinga is snuggled amidst the Borail Hills of Assam. The place comes across a weird incident on every monsoon. During the months of September and October, mainly in dark and cloudy nights, a huge number of migratory birds fly promptly towards trees and nearby houses and die. This ‘mass bird suicide’ is really a strange happening that was globally documented by an eminent naturalist E.P. Gee in the 1960s. The place and incident has remained a mystery since then.

Dumas Beach, Gujarat

It is a mysterious beach of the Indian state of Gujarat, which is famous as an authentic ghost and demon haunting place in India. The beach features black sand and it was the burial ground of Hindus. So, many spirits are supposed to be residing here. Some people have also tried to capture the activities of those spirits through their cameras and photos clicked on Dumas are really having presence of something paranormal.

Magnetic Hill, Ladakh

Situated at an elevation of 11,000 feet above the sea level, Magnetic Hill is one of the must visit destinations on your way to Leh.
