Seamen Visa
- The Applicant must possess a passport valid for at least 3 months beyond the date of expiry of the visa.
- Copy of the Passport.
- Two visa forms (photocopy is allowed).
- Two recent passport-size photographs.
- A covering letter from the Applicant.
- List of countries visited in the last 6 months.
- Original invitation letter from Benin.
- International certificate of vaccination (yellow fever vaccination certificate) is to be attached.
- Proof of funds covering duration of stay or bank account statements.
- A confirmed onward / return air ticket.
- A No-Objection Certificate from the Employer (if applicable).
- Onward Country visa or a sponsorship letter from Benin.
- Copy of complete file.
- Some cases are referred to Benin, for which the Embassy charges around INR 800 for courier. Approval can take 10-15 days.
- Visa is issued for a maximum stay of 15 days, with single entry and is valid for 90 days.
- If required, the visa can be extended by the Immigration Department in Benin.
- Processing time is 2 to 3 working days.
