International aviation hub to developed at Hisar: Khattar
In a big boost to Haryana Government’s plans to develop an international aviation hub at Hisar, the Ministry of Transport, Government of India has agreed to favourably consider the proposal for construction of a Controlled-Access Expressway between Hisar and Delhi, by appointing consultants to examine it.
While stating this recently, an official spokesman said that the construction of this expressway would significantly reduce the time to cover the distance between Hisar and Delhi and provide rapid connectivity between the national capital and the aviation hub. He said that this controlled-access expressway would connect with Kundli-Manesar-Palwal expressway and after its construction, It may take no more than 75 minutes to reach KMP Expressway from Hissar which is at a distance of 134 km approximately.
The Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar held a meeting with Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari at New Delhi regarding this project. The Union Minister assured that a consultant would be appointed to work out the plan for this expressway very shortly. Haryana Public Works (Buildings and Roads) Minister, Rao Narbir Singh and Principal Secretary, Civil Aviation Devender Singh were also present in the meeting.
