There should be more exchanges between Chinese and Indian citizens: Ma Zhanwu

There should be more exchanges between Chinese and Indian citizens and greater travelling opportunities between two countries, said Ma Zhanwu, Chinese Consul general in Kolkata at the sidelines of Bengal Global Business Summit.

“Three lakhs travel to India from China every year while around seven lakhs from India travel to China. This is a very small number for countries like India and China with huge population. There should be more communications between these two countries,” said the senior diplomat.

He contributed this issue to “lack of understanding ” between the countries. The Chinese business delegations have further mentioned about the scopes and opportunities of investment in Bengal and they have expressed interest in many sectors , he added.
