Merger of getabed and roomsXML forms Stuba

Following their merger, B2B accommodation only specialists’roomsXML and getabed have announced the launch of a new brand, Stuba.

Whilst Stuba will be the fresh new identity for the unified group, in the Indian market, the group will continue to represent the Pijoli brand.Stuba’scommercial headquarters will be located in Dubai, where both companies are currently based, but will retain operational offices in theAustralia, UK, India and USA.

Ruchir Bang of roomsXML, now CEO of Stuba commented, “We are hugely ecstatic by this announcement and we look forward to taking it to market and creating further opportunities with suppliers and clients alike. Mathematically, 1+1=2; but now with Stuba, we will change the equation to add up to 3.Stuba will be significantly larger in scale to what roomsXML and getabed were individually, but we are very mindful of not losing any of the values and ethos that made both brands so popular and likable.”

The new brand will be officially launched during Arabian Travel Market, to be held in Dubai from 22nd to 25th April, with Stuba stand located at TT1364. Smiling teams from both roomsXML and getabed will be there to welcome visitors and ready to brief them on the benefits of working with Stuba.

Matt Stuart of getabed, now CCO of Stuba said, “We are delighted to announce the launch of Stuba. We wanted something unique and fresh to celebrate the combining of two innovative, experienced and trusted companies in our sector. We felt unifying under a new banner will go a long way to help integrate the teams across offices. The teams have already embraced the new brand really enthusiastically and are already excited about working with their Stuba colleagues.”

Launching Stuba is a major step towards unifying the businesses, but both Matt & Ruchir maintain its business as usual and they will ensure the transition is as smooth as possible for its trade partners.
