Vietnam Airlines renews distribution agreement with Sabre

Sabre Corporation announced a renewed, long-term distribution agreement with Vietnam Airlines. Under this agreement, Vietnam Airlines’ content will continue to be distributed through Sabre’s leading global travel marketplace, further supporting its growth objectives.

“This renewed partnership with Vietnam’s national carrier helps to strengthen the brand as they continue to expand globally and implement an ambitious business plan,” Rakesh Narayanan, vice president, air line of business, Sabre Travel Network Asia Pacific. “We are pleased that Vietnam Airlines acknowledges Sabre as a strategic partner, based on the tested and proven solutions that we offer, which have generated impressive results over the course of our 24-year relationship. We will continue to support Vietnam Airlines by providing their content to Sabre connected agencies around the world,” he added.

According to official forecasts made by the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism, arrival numbers should increase from 17 million to 20 million visitors by 2020[1]. As Vietnam faces aggressive domestic and international consumer demand, convenient access to Vietnam Airlines’ content will become increasingly important to meet their objective, which is to become one of the largest airlines in the region by 2024.

Sabre continues to be the market leader with key strategic markets across Asia Pacific. By distributing Vietnam Airlines’ content to its international network of agents and providing the airline with innovative solutions that support its operations, Sabre’s cutting-edge technology will contribute to Vietnam Airlines’ ongoing success.
