HRAWI conducts FoSTaC Conclave programmes in Mumbai & Daman
The Hotel and Restaurant Association of Western India (HRAWI) organised two more of Food Safety and Standards Authority of India’s (FSSAI) Food Safety Training & Certification (FoSTaC) programmes in Daman and Mumbai recently. Part of the series of training programmes, the FoSTaC conclaves were organised at Mirasol Resort, Daman on 30th and at Hotel Ambassador, Mumbai on 31st, August. The programme trained and certified over 70 participants from the hospitality industry in Supervisory Training in Advance Catering Programme.
“Such efforts by FSSAI to impart right trainings to make the staff more aware about the food safety and hygiene are helping our members and their businesses to elevate their own brand standards and contribute to higher customer satisfaction. On the other hand the increase in the number of participation with every training programme conducted by the Association acknowledges the need to conduct more of such programmes.” says Mr. Gurbaxish Singh Kohli, President, HRAWI.
The HRAWI has conducted a total of twenty-three FoSTaC programmes under which over 800 hospitality professionals have been trained and certified so far. The programme is one of the biggest and important initiatives by the FSSAI to raise awareness on food safety and improve the quality of food and beverages served at hotels and restaurants in the country.
