Zomato and Slay Coffee join hands for a charitable cause amidst lockdown

Virtual Chess Tournament in an exclusive partnership with Zomato Feeding India scheduled for April 25th & 26th 2020.

SLAY Coffee, in an exclusive partnership with Zomato Feeding India is conducting a Virtual Chess Tournament which not only aims to keep people engaged during this lockdown but through it, aims to provide food support to families of daily wage earners across cities, who might have lost out on employment in these times of crisis.

With a minimal entry fee of INR 200, SLAY aims at maximum participation and will contribute an equivalent of the total amount raised through this championship and donate towards Zomato’s Feeding India initiative, a not for profit organization, designing interventions to reduce hunger among underserved communities in India.

The games are scheduled for April 25th & 26th, and shall be proctored closely by a FIDE arbiter Shibin K Benny, a professional chess player and a coach since 2011.

“With SLAY, people don’t just get fresh, handcrafted coffee delivered right to their doorstep, but they also get to spend their time in isolation just a little better. From chess tournaments to gaming competitions, live music concerts to stand-up comedy gigs, we’re going to bring to the people all they need right at the comfort of their homes,” said Chaitanya Chitta, Co-Founder at SLAY.
