Sinclairs Hotels’ FY16 Net Up 49%
EBIDTA for the year up 57% to Rs.16.68 crores
Sinclairs Hotels Ltd. has reported impressive results for the year ended 31st March 2016. Total Income from Operations grew by 33% to Rs.3904 lacs (Rs.2926 lacs) and EBIDTA for the year increased by 57% to Rs.1668 lacs (Rs.1062 lacs). After providing depreciation and amortization of Rs.654 lacs (Rs.448 lacs) and Tax of Rs.408 lacs (Rs.229 lacs), the Net Profit for the year stood at Rs.705 lacs (Rs.474 lacs), an increase of 49% over the previous year.
During the year, the company commissioned Sinclairs Tourist Resort at Burdwan, which has 19 rooms and one suite and extensive banqueting, conferencing and recreation facilities.
Sinclairs owns and operates star category hotels in Darjeeling, Dooars, Kalimpong, Ooty, Port Blair, Siliguri and Burdwan. The Company’s properties have earned an enviable reputation in each of the destinations and are rated highly by travel agents, tour operators and visitors. All the properties have extensive conferencing and banqueting facilities and have become the preferred choice of many corporates for their meetings, conferences and training programmes and for private events and functions like weddings and other celebrations.
The properties at Darjeeling, Dooars, Ooty and Siliguri have all been recently refurbished and the Company has embarked on an aggressive marketing campaign to promote its properties to corporates and groups as well as business and leisure travellers.
