- Inaugural flight on 28th October 2024
Guests travelling with LOT Polish Airlines from India can soon spice up their European journeys with a visit of Cyprus, one of the beautiful islands in the Mediterranean. The Polish flag carrier, a member of Star Alliance, will start flying to Larnaca in the Southeast of Cyprus on 28th October 2024 with four flights per week (Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays). In summer 2025, LOT Polish Airlines will add two more services and operate this route daily except Tuesdays.
Flight schedule between Warsaw and Larnaca:
Departure from Warsaw with LO 171 at 10:40 h, arrival in Larnaca at 15:10 h local time
Departure from Larnaca with LO 172 at 11:20 h, arrival in Warsaw at 18:50 h local time
The flights take around three and a half hours each and are operated with a modern Boeing 737.
“Cyprus is not only an important international banking and financial centre. The island is notably one of the most beautiful islands in the Mediterranean and a key leisure destination,” states Amit Ray, Director India, DACH Markets and Italy and Head of Global Corporate and Strategic Sales at LOT Polish Airlines.
Larnaca is wonderfully located on the coast while the island itself is offering great beaches, healthy food and millennia-long history. Cyprus is also playing an important role in the ancient Greek mythology as the birthplace of goddess Aphrodite who is associated with love, beauty and passion.
From India, LOT Polish Airlines is flying daily to its global hub at Warsaw’s International Airport: Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays from Delhi; Wednesday and Sundays from Mumbai. In Warsaw, travellers can decide to either seamlessly connect to ongoing flights from LOT Polish Airlines’ global network or to stay in Warsaw and explore this young, vibrant city with lots of culture, big shopping malls and a huge variety of international cuisine.
