TripAdvisor announces the Certificate of Excellence 2016
TripAdvisor recognises Hospitality Businesses with 2016 Certificate of Excellence
Thekkady, Thiruvananthapuram, and Rishikesh see the greatest increase of recipients
- 8,502 Certificate of Excellence recipients announced across accommodations, attractions and eateries
- Jaipur has highest number of recipients for ‘accommodations’, while Thekkady has highest year-on-year increase at 81%
- New Delhi has highest number of recipients for ‘attractions’, while Rishikesh has highest year-on-year increase at 127%
- Mumbai has highest number of recipients for ‘eateries’, while Thiruvananthapuram has highest year-on-year increase at 122%
- Certificate of Excellence recipients in the four key metro cities include New Delhi (492), Mumbai (445), Bangalore (355) and Chennai (186)
- World renowned attractions such as Taj Mahal (Agra), Humayun’s Tomb (Delhi), Gateway of India (Mumbai), Ellora Caves (Aurangabad) and Amber Fort (Jaipur) were recipients of the TripAdvisor 2016 Certificate of Excellence
TripAdvisor®, the world’s largest travel site*, announced the list of businesses that have received its 2016 Certificate of Excellence. Now in its sixth year, the achievement celebrates hospitality businesses that have earned great traveller reviews on TripAdvisor over the past year. Certificate of Excellence recipients include accommodations, eateries and attractions located all over the world that have continually delivered a quality customer experience.
“With the Certificate of Excellence, TripAdvisor honors hospitality businesses that have received strong praise and ratings from travellers. Over the years, the Certificate of Excellence has helped raise the bar for the hospitality industry and enabled travellers to identify and book properties that deliver great experience,” said Nikhil Ganju, Country Manager, TripAdvisor India.
A total of 8,502 hospitality businesses in India have been presented with the Certificate of Excellence this year, including 3,642 of accommodations, 2,551 of eateries and 2,309 of attractions.
