In a strong sign of investor confidence and product expansion in Jamaica’s tourism sector, the luxury Excellence Oyster Bay resort in Trelawny has announced a significant US $25 million expansion programme, adding 50 ultra-luxury villa accommodations with private butler and personalised service by the end of this year. The investment also includes about US $8 million in upgraded staff accommodation and wellbeing facilities, reinforcing the resort’s commitment to both world-class guest experiences and local employment. This announcement — made jointly by the resort’s CEO and Jamaica’s Minister of Tourism — comes as the property continues to rebound strongly after Hurricane Melissa, underscoring Jamaica’s growing appeal as a resilient, high-end destination with evolving product offerings for international travellers.
