W Hotels arrives in India

W Hotels, the modern luxury brand originally conceived by Starwood, has made its debut in India.

Now operated by Marriott International, the brand has launched the W Goa, a new beach resort in the popular Indian coastal state.

Located on Vagator Beach, approximately 27km from Goa’s Dabolim Airport and close to Chapora Fort, the new resort is spread across 10 hectares of seafront land, amongst palm trees. It features 160 rooms, suites, chalets and villas, plus a spa, fitness centre, outdoor pool, kids’ club, business centre and 675m² of function space.

There are also four F&B outlets: the international Kitchen Table and pan-Asian Spice Traders restaurants, beachfront Woo Bar and Rock Pool, an outdoor grill overlooked by Chapora Fort.

This marks the first of three W Hotels being planned for India, with the W Delhi NCR scheduled to open in Gurgaon in 2018 and the W Mumbai expected to launch in 2019.
