St. Moritz and The Engadin – A paradise for golfers
St. Moritz and The Engadin is regarded as the Alpine golfing paradise for over 125 years now, thanks to the region’s incomparable landscapes and panoramic views. The oldest golf course in Switzerland is located in the Engadin valley in Samedan that offers a record-breaking experience in various respects. Opened in 1893, the golf course is also one of the first to be built in continental Europe, and at 1,800 metres above sea level, it is also one of the highest-lying.
Equally famous is the 18-hole golf course in Zuoz-Madulain, which opened just a few years ago, offers not only fairways laid out in an interesting and varied manner, but also a magnificent scenic backdrop at every level – from the quietly flowing River Inn to the lofty peaks of the Upper Engadin Alps.
The Kulm Golf Course is known for its fascinating interplay between the natural landscape and high-tech golf architecture. The Kulm Golf Academy offers the appropriate support for novice. Golfing experience is not necessary in order to use the driving range with its 16 tee-off places and the pitching and putting greens.
