LOT Polish Airlines, a member of Star Alliance, has unveiled its interior mock-ups for its upcoming Airbus A220 aircraft deliveries, designed to offer greater comfort on short- and medium-haul flights starting in 2027. The new cabins combine an efficient layout with modern technology to maximise both comfort and functionality. Each A220 aircraft will feature two class of travel: LOT Economy Class and LOT Business Class.
Based on version, the aircraft will accommodate 125 passengers (A220-100) and 149 passengers (A220-300) respectively. The 2-3 seating configuration per row provides travellers with more personal space, and the 18-inch-wide seats – wider than most in their class – will offer noticeably greater comfort, even on longer flights.
“The A220 aircraft sets a new travel standard at LOT Polish Airlines. With greater comfort, quieter cabins, and modern tech features, every flight will feel even smoother. These planes are designed with passenger comfort in mind,” says Izabela Leszczyńska, Director of Product Development and Customer Experience.
LOT Polish Airlines A220’s will feature RECARO’s R2 model – lightweight, ergonomic seats equipped with integrated device holders, a 60W USB-C power outlet at each seat, and a convenient cup holder. The A220’s sound-insulating cabin design keeps noise levels low, allowing passengers to relax. The aircraft also incorporates Airbus’ Airspace design, used in the manufacturer’s latest aircraft, which introduces a more open interior, an intuitive cabin layout, and dynamic LED lighting that adapts to the time of day and stage of the flight. Larger windows will bring in more natural light and offer better views. Overhead bins are also more spacious, offering the best storage capacity in its class. This speeds up boarding, since passengers will find it easier to store their bags. LOT also plans to roll out in-flight Wi-Fi, allowing passengers to use messaging apps or work while flying.
The introduction of the Airbus A220 aircraft further strengthens LOT’s position as a regional leader, combining modern technology with an upgraded onboard experience.
