Al Hamra to celebrate the Ras Al Khaimah Happiness Festival

Ras Al Khaimah property developer, Al Hamra, is set to put a smile on the face of residents as part of Ras Al Khaimah’s (RAKs) inaugural Happiness Festival, by welcoming guests and residents to the Al Hamra Marina & Yacht Club from February 14 – 16.

As part of the Ras Al Khaimah Happiness Festival, every evening the skies around Al Marjan Island will be lit up with a spectacular firework display, a nod to the emirate’s Guinness World Record New Years’ eve celebrations – where the emirate was recognised for the highest fireworks display ever recorded.

Celebrating the beauty and ongoing development of the emirate, the Ras Al Khaimah Happiness Festival (taking place 14 – 17 February) is expected to attract 40,000 people over four days. As part of the celebrations Al Hamra Marina & Yacht Club will feature live BBQ stations, an exclusive night market, street artists, live music, spectacular views of the fireworks and a dedicated kids’ zone, from 5pm – 10pm daily, complementing the activities taking place elsewhere in the emirate.

For those looking to buy unique local crafts, a night market featuring over 40 vendors selling locally made items including paintings, handmade baskets, cosmetic accessories and organic food will all be on offer. Vendors signed up include Shake Shack, Pancake Holland, Taste of Brazil, H&W Perfumes, Desert Art Centre and many more.

The family-friendly festival will feature a host of attractions to keep children entertained, with a bouncy castle, balloon benders, face painting and the chance to take a selfie with the official Happiness Mascot.

Al Hamra General Manager, Benoy Kurien, said: “The Happiness Festival is a place to share special moments with friends, family, children and loved ones, and make lifetime memories in the beautiful emirate of Ras Al Khaimah. Al Hamra is proud to be part of this fun-filled community event which has something for everyone in RAK, neighbouring emirates and the many tourists who visit our beautiful country.”

Taking place over Valentine’s Day, the Happiness Festival will provide plenty of opportunity to share special moments with a loved one. Al Hamra’s signature development, Waldorf Astoria Ras Al Khaimah is offering couples a Suite-Heart package, a luxury stay for two in a sumptuous suite, with a romantic dinner in Azure Restaurant and a balcony breakfast overlooking the pristine waters of the Gulf.

Elsewhere in the hotel, couples will be able to enjoy many promotions, including Love High Tea, the Relaxed Romance couples’ spa and the chance to be served by one of the hotel’s dedicated ‘Cupid Butlers’. Al Hamra Village residents and guests from the Hilton Al Hamra Beach and Golf Resort, Al Hamra Village and Residence and Waldorf Astoria can take advantage of a complimentary ferry boat from the village to the Al Hamra Marina & Yacht Club – a new service running from this February.
